FAQ

Is a professionally designed and installed landscape really a good investment for my property?

Sources such as Money Magazine, The Society of Real Estate Appraisers and Smart Money Magazine consistently report that a well designed and implemented landscape can raise property values as much as 15% and earn the homeowner as much as 150% – 200% of their investment back at resale.

How much should I plan on spending for a professional landscape?

We advise most of our clients to plan on spending anywhere form 10-20% of the value of their home for landscaping. This amount varies depending upon the complexity of the design and the amount of “hardscape” involved with the project. Hardscape includes things like patios, walls, water features, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, lighting, etc.

How much will it cost for a landscape design?

We are happy to meet with you for an initial consultation free of charge. This process usually takes about 1 hour and gives our consultant the opportunity to review the scope of work. Based upon this initial meeting, we will present you will a detailed design proposal outlining all costs associated with the design process.

Does your company promote sustainable landscape practices?

Yes. As a member of the ALCC Sustainable Landscape Partners, we are committed to incorporating sustainable practices into our landscape design, construction and maintenance operations. Sustainable practices include incorporating xeric principles into our designs and maintenance programs, sourcing locally, promoting re-use and re-purposing of materials and focusing on water management.

What is the advantage of hiring a design-build firm?

Hiring a design-build firm tends to streamline the construction process and reduce costs by avoiding mistakes or miscommunication in the field. By having a single-point of contact, there is greater room for innovation and artistic expression during the construction process.
